Kagan hears about DUO for a JOB for the first time through his contact person at the municipality. In 2021, he traveled after his father who had previously fled from Turkey to the Netherlands. The then 21-year-old Kagan did not get the chance to finish his Architecture course in Turkey, so he must make a new plan in the Netherlands. He would love to finish his education here so that he can find a good job afterwards. But how do you go about that?

Kagan could use some help from someone with experience. Through DUO for a JOB, he comes into contact with Cor. In him, Kagan finds the smiling mentor he's looking for.

The 60-year-old Cor joined DUO for a JOB through his employer, Vopak. He has 35 years of experience in engineering and project management and is eager to share his knowledge and experience with the next generation. Together, Kagan and Cor will work on a plan for the future. They talk about Kagan's talents, his experience and his opportunities in the Netherlands. With patience, trust and humor, Cor helps him to see his path more clearly. That hard work is paying off: Kagan finds a full-time job as an AutoCAD designer at Vector Eyes! He now even has a permanent contract there. He is busy, learns a lot and enjoys going to work every day. On his time with Cor, he looks back with a big smile.
