Diversity is a fact,
inclusivity is a choice

We live in a superdiverse society. By creating a more inclusive society, we ensure that everyone can find their place and actively contribute.

How? Promoting encounters and exchanges between cultures and generations, and fighting inequalities and discrimination.

A twofold observation

Statistics and researches show that:

⚠️ Thereis an unequal access to the labour market for young people with a migrant background from outside the European Union (1st, 2nd and 3rd generation), regardless of their educational level.

⚠️ The knowledge and experience of people over 50 is not sufficiently valued and used.

Our mission

Since 2013, DUO for a JOB creates a link between generations by offering a mentoring program in numerous cities in Belgium.

Concretely, it's a relationship where a volunteer “mentor,” trained by our association, shares their experience with a young “mentee” to promote the development of their skills, autonomy, and help them identify and achieve their professional goals.

The relationship is based  on exchange, learning, and mutual trust. Once a duo, the pair meet for two hours each week, for six months and are supervised by a coordinator from our team.

But DUO for a JOB is more than just an effective integration tool. It is a project of openness and solidarity, bringing together people of different ages, origins, and neighborhoods around common values. A powerful experience that, through encounters, helps to challenge prejudices and discrimination.
