Our impact
The innovative aspect of our mentoring program is linked to its intergenerational and inclusive nature, its approach, and the very structure of the organization.

Current societal challenges

🎯 Ambitious employment participation goals
To achieve ambitious employment participation goals, supporting young people with a migration background is a priority.

🫥 Labour shortage
The Netherlands is struggling with a growing shortage of workers. More than 50% of employers experience or expect staff shortages.

🐙 Sustainable employability
Sustainable employability and lifelong learning have become priorities for employers and for the government. We live in an aging society where people are active for longer and longer.

💔 Polarization of society
The lack of connections between cultures and generations is causing strong tensions. Mentoring prevents the formation of a close-knit society.
Our impact on mentees
The personal and intensive approach to mentoring makes it possible to overcome the difficulties faced by job-seeking young people with a migrant background.

Bridging the gap between the company and young talent with a migration background.
Train their employees to make the company more inclusive and improve workplace diversity.
Value their employees aged 50 and over and improve their well-being and motivation at work.

And for society?
Society is becoming increasingly diverse in terms of culture and background. This diversity is a source of social, cultural and economic progress, but it also poses challenges in terms of social cohesion. With the DUO for a JOB mentoring program:
We connect people from different generations and cultures.
We identify common ground and reduce prejudice and tension.
We promote trust, empathy and respect between people with different backgrounds.
