Current societal challenges

🎯 Ambitious employment participation goals

To achieve ambitious employment participation goals, supporting young people with a migration background is a priority.

🫥 Labour shortage

The Netherlands is struggling with a growing shortage of workers. More than 50% of employers experience or expect staff shortages.

🐙 Sustainable employability

Sustainable employability and lifelong learning have become priorities for employers and for the government. We live in an aging society where people are active for longer and longer.

💔 Polarization of society

The lack of connections between cultures and generations is causing strong tensions. Mentoring prevents the formation of a close-knit society.

Our impact on mentees

The personal and intensive approach to mentoring makes it possible to overcome the difficulties faced by job-seeking young people with a migrant background.

In addition to employment results, mentoring also enables these young people to achieve numerous developing skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

70%

of our mentees find a job, internship or training within 12 months.

91%

of our mentees feel more autonomous in their job search.

93%

of our mentees feel more confident after the program.

81%

of our mentees have expanded their professional and/or social network.

Benefits for businesses?

Diversity and inclusion are important themes within organizations. In addition, more and more employers are focusing on a strong end-of-career policy and lifelong learning. By promoting mentoring, companies can:

And for society?

Society is becoming increasingly diverse in terms of culture and background. This diversity is a source of social, cultural and economic progress, but it also poses challenges in terms of social cohesion. With the DUO for a JOB mentoring program:
