Together, they explored various study programs, visited an open day at Albeda, and figured out how student finance works. A visit to DUO always stuck with Alexandra. "I had never been there myself. It felt like we were exploring together. I was helping Fatima, but I was also learning something new myself."
For Fatima, Alexandra was a trusted point of contact. "I really enjoyed my time with Alexandra. She always helped me. If I had questions, she always knew the answer." Fatima made her choice and started the MBO2 Assistant Business Services program at Albeda. She would like to work as a receptionist.
The conversations between this duo weren't just about education and practical matters. They were also about trust. Initially, Fatima often asked Alexandra which choice she thought was the right one. Slowly, that question changed to: what actually suits *me*? "I've learned to have more focus," Fatima explains. "To think about who I am, what I want, and to research that myself."
Alexandra also reflects on a valuable learning period. "Fatima showed me that it's okay to be vulnerable. You don't have to have all the answers. And I've learned to listen even better, instead of immediately looking for solutions."
