Sharda and Nandini’s duo journey was not all about having fun. Something the two ladies were only too happy to do together, but they certainly worked very hard as well. Nandini came to the Netherlands from India in 2021. Armed with a bachelor of Economics and lots of ambition, she was determined to find work in administration or finance as soon as possible. We paired her up with mentor Sharda. They got off to an energetic start and this very quickly landed Nandini an administrative position with Boskalis!
Nandini’s new job was no reason to stop meeting with her mentor. On the weekends, their appointments at the Ikea restaurant continued as usual. Over cups of coffee, they could spend hours chatting with each other. “Both personally and professionally, I learned a lot from Sharda. I learned to stand up for myself. We worked on my communication skills, she helped me with my diploma recognition, resume, driving theory exam, Dutch language course and we practiced job interviews. We always laugh a lot together, I am always looking forward to meeting her,” Nandini says.
